The Common Admission Test (CAT) is a national-level entrance exam for admission to the best B-schools of India such as the IIMs. And, cracking the exam takes a lot of determination and hard work.

CAT Exam Pattern:
We’ll first look at the exam pattern of CAT 2022 to apply better the ‘Ultimate mantra’ :

Overall there will be 66 questions and a time frame of 40 minutes will be provided for each section, making the exam for 2 hours.
The marking scheme is as follows:
- +3 for every correct answer
- -1 for a wrong answer
Applying the ‘Ultimate Mantra’
- Logical Reasoning carries 10 questions, and Data Interpretation carries another 10. Hence, the total 20 questions from this section is almost one-third of the total questions. With regular practice in these questions, you can easily ace the section and score very high percentiles.
- Out of 24 questions from Verbal Ability, 16-18 are Reading Comprehension questions. And the best part! RCs have no negative marking so try to attempt every question of Reading Comprehension.
- For Quants, getting the concepts clear would solve half of the problem for this section, and extensive practice will make this section the most scoring one!
