  1. The Symbol of Justice: This symbol is being used since the 15th century and the eyes of the Goddess of Justice have been covered with black cloth to reflect that the Goddess of Justice sees everyone equally and will not be partial while doing justice to anyone.
  2. Dove and Olive Branch: The use of a dove and olive branch as a symbol of peace originated with the early Christians, who portrayed the act of baptism accompanied by a dove holding an olive branch in its beak and also used the image on their sepulchers.
  3. White Flag: The white flag is an internationally recognized protective sign of truce or ceasefire, and request for negotiation.  The use of the flag to surrender is included in the Hague Conventions of 1899 and 1907.
  4. Union Jack: The national flag of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.  The flag combines aspects of three older national flags: the red cross of St George of the Kingdom of England, the white saltire of St Andrew for Scotland (which two were united in the first Union Flag), and the red saltire of St Patrick to represent Ireland.
