Common Management Admission Test(CMAT) 2021 Notification is OUT!!!!
The CMAT 2021 examination is delayed due to a Covid-19 pandemic crisis. The National Testing Agency issued the CMAT 2021 notification on 23 December 2020 with a full test schedule and test mode. Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2021 is the entrance examination for admission to the MBA/PGDM 2021-23 AICTE accredited management institutes and will be administered by NTA as a three-hour computer-based test.

NTA will hold the CMAT 2021 exam on 22/27 February 2021 as a three-hour computer-based examination. The CMAT 2021 exam registration process began on 23 December 2020 and the last submission date for CMAT 2021 is 22 January 2021.
What is CMAT?
The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a National Level Entrance Examination for admission to management programs in the country. This Test facilitates AICTE affiliated/ Participating Institutions to select suitable graduate candidates for admission to the Management Courses in such Institutions. Until 2018, CMAT was carried out by AICTE, now the test is carried out by the National Testing Authority (NTA) established by the Government of India. Every year, more than 70,000 candidates apply for CMAT. Last year, 74486 candidates applied for the CMAT test. CMAT provides a rare opportunity for all test runners, as none of them is disqualified in their performance.

CMAT Exam Pattern
CMAT 2021 test paper has a length of 3 hours with 100 objective style questions in the form of MCQs.
- The difficulty level of the question is easy to moderate
- The examination is divided into four parts with 25 questions in each section.
- Parts are Quantitative Aptitude, Logic Reasoning, Language Comprehension, and General Awareness.
- Each correct answer is given +4 Mark
- Any wrong answer shall be penalized with a negative point of-1 mark
- No specific time limit to try the question paper. Candidates can address any question from any section within a total time period of 3 hours.
- The Merit Score and the Percentile are determined on the basis of all 4 sections.
- The CMAT scorecard shows the actual score obtained from the 400 points, the sectional score obtained and the sectional and total percentile obtained in the test.

Quantitative techniques and data interpretation – 25 questions for 100 marks
General awareness – 25 questions for 100 marks

CMAT Syllabus
The CMAT exam is held for 180 minutes. The test comprises of hundred questions divided into four sections: Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, and General Awareness. There’s a negative marking of one (1) mark for each wrong answer.
CMAT syllabus 2021 is further subdivided. This sectional sub-division in the CMAT syllabus makes CMAT 2021 an exam with six effective sections.
The section-1 in CMAT exam on Language Comprehension is divided into two parts – Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension; Section-2 on Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation also consists of two parts with Mathematics and Data Interpretation questions; section-3 in the CMAT exam consists of Logical Reasoning which has questions on various topics of Logical Reasoning. Section-4 in the CMAT exam is the General Awareness (GK) Section which covers current affairs, static GK, Business & Economy, International current affairs, Who’s Who, the Constitution of India, United Nations Organization among other key topics.
CMAT defines its Verbal Ability section as Language Comprehension.
It covers a comprehensive English test which includes the test of grammar, tenses, vocabulary, jumbled paragraphs, and reading comprehension.
