IIM Bangalore lays more weight-age on the overall candidate profile than just the D-Day performance. What they are looking for is – excellent academics, good work experience and profile with 40% importance given to CAT Scores.
This is the lowest percentage weightage that will be given to CAT 2019 score among all the IIMs. The CAT 2019 scores are considered for the PGP course for the academic year 2020. The other 60 percent of the total will be awarded to the work experience, academics, etc. Even a student who scores 90 percentile can get admission in IIM Bangalore as long as they cover the following requirements.

The Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIMB), has made public the criteria it used for selecting students for the 2007 batch of its flagship two-year post-graduate programme (PGP) in management, revealing in the process that a candidate’s score in the tough Common Admission Test (CAT) has only a 20 percent weightage in the final reckoning. In what will come as a major surprise for most IIM aspirants, the document said that once an applicant has been shortlisted for the group discussion and personal interview (GDPI), his score in CAT, considered to be one of the most difficult entrance examinations anywhere, has just a 20 percent weightage in the final aggregate score, on the basis of which admission offers are made.
