1. Focused Topic:
Before starting the preparation students should understand well in advance the number of questions which will be asked from each topic. The most important topic in the Verbal section is Reading Comprehension, in the last two years of CAT exam the number of questions was 24. From this student should understand that RC is the topic where they need to focus more. The study plan of a student should have daily reading comprehension practice. 2. Start Reading:
Once you know the important topic of the Verbal Section, now we need to build a strategy for excel in that topic. Reading comprehension as we know is the game-changing topic in the CAT exam. This particular topic itself is 24% of the entire CAT exam. Hence, let’s have a look at how we can score good marks in Reading Comprehension. The preparation should start with reading and solving 1 RC a day till the exam. A good reader will always have a good understanding of different topics. 3. Learn Vocabulary with Roots:
Memorizing the only vocabulary will not help students to give many advantages in CAT. But a word needs to be learned with its root so that if there is another word with the same root, it will be easier for the student to identify the meaning of it. In this way of learning, vocabulary does not require memorizing and mugging up the words and their meaning.

4. Funda no 4:
CATKing students must be well versed with the Funda no 4. Using Funda no 4 is very important for any kind of questions of verbal in CAT. The funda no 4 is among the most important fundas of cracking CAT verbal available in CATKing Verbal book. It is about the signal words which connects or give a direction to the sentences. For example: Additionally, moreover, in addition to, however, etc. These are those signal words which you will definitely see in RCs while practicing as well as in the CAT exam. Funda no 4 is also very important for solving Para jumble to find out links between the sentences.
5. Critical Reasoning is critical:
One should understand the topic by its name. Critical Reasoning, as the name says is critical and requires its own set of rules and strategies to solve. Students often make this mistake of using their own knowledge instead of using rules while solving CR questions. The topic is critical but can be understood well when its rules are kept in mind. Students while solving CR questions should not use any extra knowledge which is not mentioned in the passage.
